Not unpleasant in warm weather, with half-hourly services to Saltburn and Darlington/Bishop Auckland, though Darlington trains only run through to Bishop Auckland once an hour. Covered but not fully enclosed waiting shelters on both platforms and a bike rack on the northern (eastbound) platform. Entry to platforms is adjacent to the level crossing at the eastern end of the station, which also allows for easy wheelchair access. A payphone can be found in the shelter on the northern platform and there's a bike rack on that side of the tracks too, but alas no car park in sight.
